For my fiftieth birthday, my husband planned a small get together in the city with six of our closest friends. We started the night out at a mixology bar with an outdoor garden then stayed overnight at The Inn At Irving Place, a true oasis in the lovely Gramercy Park neighborhood of Manhattan. The next morning, I snapped this photo from the window of my taxi as we pulled away. The trees were captured in a blur, much like the fleeting night – but I still love this photograph for the memory of my celebration and the beauty of my favorite city neighborhood.
Nothing quite like the fun of “Extreme Dodge ball” among brothers, played at an indoor gym/trampoline park. That is, until someone gets hit with just a little too much force.
A forward somersault executed “en blur”
Fabulous entries for the challenge. Love them all but the third is definitely my favorite. So cool!

Great shots, Kathy! I am going to have to make a note of the hotel you mentioned. My husband works in the city and occasionally I take the train in to meet him for a function. So glad your 50th was so memorable!

Thank you Grace! The inn is located on one of the prettiest and quietest city streets, Irving Place. Also a great place to visit is called “Pete’s Tavern” on corner where O’Henry is said to have written gift of the Magi. The Inn at Irving Place is a wonderful place to stay for special occasion and they also have an afternoon tea. You can take a look at the website to get better idea. Love to go into the city on occasion to meet up with a couple of old friends who still live there! I am in CT now but will always love NYC as I lived there during my single years. Fun, fun. fun! 🙂
