“The city seen from the Queensboro Bridge is always the city seen for the first time, in its first wild promise of all the mystery and beauty in the world.”
I am an ex New Yorker who still misses the vibrancy of the city. I seek out the humor in every day life and relay it through my stories in the hope others will appreciate as well. I love to write about growing up with my fantastically unique Irish mother whose memory inspires me every day. Although she is no longer with us, her antics are an endless staple for my tales. I currently live in Connecticut with my husband, two sons and toy fox terrier Anabel.

Janet, I took this photo two nights ago from atop of the New York Athletic club at around 7PM. The only adjustments made were to the brightness of the photo which somehow made the trees appear to give off autumn like color. Not sure why but liked the effect so let it remain.
Thanks Tom! Just snapped this the other night while enjoying a night out with old friends in the city. I brightened the blue colour a bit but the image is basically the same as the actual view seen that night 🙂
Lovely!

Kathy, are these the original colors or did you adjust them? Just curious, not critical.
